Growing up, I realized how hard it was for my mother to finish high school and getting a college degree. She was one of the few teen moms who never gave up on her education. Unfortunately, my mothers single income is not enough for the size of family we have to help me go to my dream college. That is why, I am requesting for you to help me out financially to pay for my college housing, so I can graduate college and become a Great Veterinarian.
One of the most tough classes I have taken in my high school year is English 4 AP. The reason I chose this class was because my teacher was very strict about homework, time test, and research papers. He said he was doing this to help prepare us for college. This class is helping me learn about how to manage my time, and having to understand how to multitask.
The ability to be able to memorize things really quickly rather than studying it for a long time has always been an advantage to me. It would especially help me by becoming a Veterinarian. I'm able to learn and remember a wide range of things varying from what I've have learned in people, hands on experience, or by life experiences.
My post college ambition is to be able to get into the program to become a veterinarian. Once I receive my degree I plan to open my own Vet clinic.

I've realized throughout time that in order to reach one main goal you have to complete little goals along the journey. My main goal is to become a Veterinarian. I know that it's not going to be easy to become a Veterinarian, but I love animals and want to be able to help them. To become a Veterinarian I have to complete short term goals.
My 1st short term goal is to graduate high school with top 10%. Without graduating from high school I can't become a Veterinarian because it would be harder to enter the college I need and get in the Veterinary program. I'm close to full filling this short term goal but it was not easy.
I had to take extra dual and academic placement courses and get high grades to help me stay in the top ten percent. By participating in those tough classes I get double the assignments which means longer hours to do the homework so I have to manage my time and pass with straight A's.
Another short term that I have to accomplish is to do well in college. I want to be able to pass my associates and bachelors with a high GPA, so I can get into the Veterinarian program. I want to build a good transcript and a resume at the same time that I'm in college by working and studying hard. I want to be able to look back at myself and say "Wow you did it!. You graduated with bachelors and made into the Vet program.
By getting into the Veterinarian program and graduating from it, I would be able to reach my long term goal. By doing this, I would want to change the world to be a better place. I would help animals in need and keep them from over populating on earth. I would educate communities on how to properly take care of their pets. I would also help the animal shelters by examining the animals, create fund raisers, and involve communities to adopt an animal. This and more would put a smile on my face knowing that I'm helping out. Accomplishing of becoming a Dr. Veterinarian has a been a long dream of mine, and when it comes true I would someday to be known as the best Veterinarian.
In order to achieve my long term dream goal, I would have to let time pass by to accomplish the small goals of mine first. Once I complete my short term goals I would be one step closer to becoming a Veterinarian. These goals are going to be part of my life, and I'm going to enjoy every bit of this journey. I will be able to help animals in need and be part of the community.

In the summer of 2014, news reporters in every news channel talked about a Sacred Heart Catholic Church in McAllen Texas who was hosting a charity for illegal immigrants. This organization helped illegal immigrants who have been released from custody due to the immigrant reform and they didn’t have any clothes, food, and shelter. Citizens were able to donate clothes, shampoos, and foods to the charity, but never in a million years did I ever think I would have an opportunity to volunteer and experience helping the immigrants first hand.
On June 18, 2014, my mom told me the Sacred Heart Catholic Church was looking for volunteers. I went right away at 9:00 a.m. and registered to volunteer. When I was registering I donated some clothes and food for the immigrants. The first thing I noticed when I walked into the church was tons of clothes on tables in the middle of the room and a priest.
The clothes were sectioned for infants, 2-3 years old, 4-8 years old, 9-15 years old, and adults.
South of the church room there was a small section of chairs for the immigrants to wait to register for their next bus destination to travel to. Next to the small waiting area there is a row of tables and on top of them are bottles, diapers, and hygiene necessities for the immigrants. In the east of the church room there were about 500 dozens of water and 2 pictures of Jesus hanged on the wall. North of the room there was snacks and goodie bags that the illegal immigrants can take on the bus to their next location.
West of the church room were restrooms and a cafeteria to feed the immigrants if they’re hungry. Outside of the Church was a tent for immigrants can sleep and take a nap until their bus comes and picks them up. Also outside there was a volunteer restroom because they didn’t want any volunteers to risk getting sick because of the immigrants. There was also a shower trailer for the immigrants can take a shower but they had a time limit which was 3 minutes max. Next to the shower trailer was a doctor trailer where immigrants can get help if injured.
My first duty as a volunteer, the priest told me to wear gloves and start folding clothes. I was folding clothes until 2:00 p.m. came because that’s when the immigrants started to arrive. Once I saw immigrants walking in the church I felt my heart break into a million pieces. They looked sick, injured, and hungry. There were so many immigrant children.
Every volunteer was assigned a family to take care
