I completed my 11th and 12th grade from C.J.S Public School , Jalandhar. Then I took the medical entrance examination in India and then applied to universities in the USA after taking a gap year in which I built my college application, took the SATs and SAT Math Level 2 Exam, IELTS and also gave the class 12th CBSE Maths Examination

I took medical stream in class 12th (includes subjects - Biology, Physics, Chemistry, English and Physical Education). The Indian Education System does not give the students much of a choice in terms of subjects they want to pursue but promotes a system that gives them 4 options- Medical, Non Medical, Commerce and Arts. In each of these options, students prepare for the respective competitive examination which on the basis of marks only (not extracurricular) grants admissions to colleges. I did not want to pursue this approach and wanted to explore my inner desires to learn in a deeper and meaningful way. This is the reason, I took a gap year to start my education in the USA as the Americal Education System is much better than the Indian one and I find it much more appealing.
