I have been part of the Gifted and Talented/Excel program in my two school communities since kindergarten. In 8th grade, I transferred schools because my mom is a teacher at the school I currently attend.

I received the USAID award for my freshman science fair project at the Maine State Science Fair.

I scored a 3 on my AP biology exam in my sophomore year and I am currently taking 2 community college classes in place of junior Chemistry and English.

Employment History
My family owns a bagel truck buisiness called Bob's Ugly Bagels and I have worked there since I was 13. Furthermore, I have owned a small business since I was 10 selling water color cards. Recently, I just expanded my business to Etsy and I added friendship bracelets and photography to my collection. Additionally, I work at a boat launch in the Summer where I check boats in order to not allow invasive species into the lake. There are many seminars that take place in order to learn about certain species and their effects.

Recently I was able to go volunteer at a dive at my local lake in order to remover Chinese Mystery Snails which have become invasive.
Community Service
History
I have volunteered with my soccer team at different camps and runs and this year we actually hosted a camp for the younger girls who will eventually come up and play in high school. I volunteer in the Spanish Honor Society and in the French Honor Society at my school. I also help with dives in my local lake in order to remove invasive snails negatively affecting the aquatic environment.

This Summer I was chosen to attent the HOBY Virtual Seminar for three days. It was an amazing experience, and the goal of the seminar was for the students to do 100 hours or more of community service in the next year. I am creating an environmental club in our school where students will not only receive community service hours but learn about how they can contribute to a healthier environment and create change within the global community.
