• Since the ninth grade, my schedule has consisted of consecutive Cambridge, AP, and college credited courses. During my first year, I enrolled in Algebra 2 Honors, Chemistry Honors, English 1 Honors, Research Honors courses and AICE International History 1 AS Level.
• My tenth grade consisted of AP Macroeconomics, AP US Government, AICE Mathematics AS Level, AICE General Paper AS, AICE Global Perspectives AS, AICE Marine Science AS, and AP Spanish Language.
• During 11th grade, I enrolled in AP Calculus AB and continued my education in AICE Marine A-Level. I also studied AICE English Language AS, AICE Thinking Skills AS, and AICE Spanish A-Level.
• My twelfth year consists of AP Calculus BC, AICE English Language AS and A-Level, AICE Biology AS, and AICE Environmental Management AS.
• Throughout all four years, I've been a member of the Health Science Academy in my school. I partake in medical based and additional science classes that will prepare me for my future in the field.
• I've also participated in the Academy of Hospitality and Tourism where I've continuously taken Culinary courses as a hobby.
Awards
• As a member of HOSA, I placed second in my region for Community Awareness (2017). Through this club, I educated my peers on the dangers of teen pregnancy and its commonness in the Hispanic community. I also placed first in regionals and states for Parliamentary Procedures. My team and I furthered our education in ParliPro throughout the summer and placed eighth at the HOSA International Leadership Conference.
• I've also competed in Parliamentary Procedures for FCCLA where my team and I have placed first in regionals and states the past two conferences.
• As a hobby, I enjoy the art of Culinary and Pastery. In my first regional competition at the Miami-Dade County Fair, I placed first for my dishes. I was also awarded "Best Dessert" at the Florida state competition - "Sharpen Your Skills." My most recent award in Culinary was at the 2019 FL Prostart State Competition where my team and I ranked in second.
• Through my academics and studies, I was awarded in 2019 for passing the AP Spanish Language exam with a 5 and the AICE Global Perspectives exam with and A - the highest scores possible. I'm also quarterly gifted with the Principles Honor Roll award for maintaining straight A's and a 4.00 GPA each quarter.
Additional Info
Starting in the 10th grade, I've enrolled in many Dual Enrollment courses after school at our local college so I can advance my studies towards my Associates. These courses included Human Nutrition, Human Growth and Development, Psychology of Personal Effectiveness, Fundamentals of Speech, etc.
I've also collaborated with the Susan B. Komen "More Thank Pink Walk" to raise awareness of Breast Cancer within my school the past two years. I've gathered fellow peers and enrolled them, and myself, as volunteers to this wonderful event each year.
Throughout my high school career, I took as many AICE and AP courses availably offered by my school with the intentions of graduating from high school with an Associates Degree.
Additional Info
Unfortunately, I was unable to partake in many of the sports offered in my school due to my enrollment in many clubs, organizations, and college courses after school. Additionally, my lacking of a personal automobile as a form of transportation made joining sports a difficult task it would increase my reliance on others for transportation.
