Education History
I attended Smithville High School where I was a 4.0+ gpa student. My first semester of college was a difficult time for me. My grades slipped and I began to struggle in courses that I had previously excelled at in high school. I had considered dropping out and going straight into a trade. I talked to my parents about my thoughts and prayed for guidance religiously. The answer I received was to continue with college and my grades would come with time. Come the end of spring semster that is exactly what happened. My grades went from a 2.4gpa in the fall to a 3.2 in the spring and now I am on track to a 3.6 for my fall sophomore semester. After overcoming the pressures to drop out of school, I am fired up to keep learning.
Awards
• Excellence Award at the Cedarville Music Festival in 2013 for piano solo.
• Wayne County Fair Smithville Runner-Up for Self-portrait paintings.
