  • History I was chosen from my high school towards the end of senior year along with other peers from different schools in the parish to paint murals for the local library and transform it into a fun and creative space where kids will want to come and learn. This also helped me build a bond with the library's director, we were tasked with this when the director, Mrs. Stephanie had the idea to turn it into a creative space after a truck had driven through one of the library walls. She wanted to make something nice out of something tragic which I deeply admire. It was an honor to be chosen for such a project. Also in that same year, I was given the opportunity to paint a mural with my friend for a local business by the name of Bayou Trade Days. One could describe it as a local thrift market, we were asked to come up with and paint a bayou scene on the outer wall.
