Community Service
History
Throughout high school, I participated in several clubs that hold community service activities like the National Honor Society and Key Club. Most notably, I regularly tend to the school arboretum as part of Green Club and read to kindergarten students as part of the "Read with Me" activity for Future Educators of America.
For my community service project, I founded a kindergarten nutrition program at a school for special needs kids called Roblanca Academy. The kindergarten class and I planted an edible garden whose fruits and vegetables are part of the class's lunch. As part of the program, I taught them about the importance of nutrition and healthy eating.
